ABOUT ART OF GENEROSITY

Art of Generosity is a groundbreaking NFT project from Fidelity Charitable^® that aims to celebrate, inspire, and encourage individual acts of generosity, prompting reflection on how generosity shapes our lives and communities for the better.

This curated NFT collection, offered in a free, blind mint during the 2022 season of giving, features art from 12 impact-minded creators. Each share their unique interpretation of the meaning of generosity and the many forms it takes.

Each holder will be able to mint up to two NFTs. We encourage you to keep one to enjoy and share one with a friend, colleague, or family member.

THE GOLDEN TICKET NFT

In the spirit of amplifying generosity, a randomly selected group of 50 lucky minters won a Golden Ticket NFT. Winners who redeemed their ticket had the ability to each direct $1,000 in donations via Fidelity Charitable^® Giving Account^® to eligible nonprofits of their choosing. The redemption period for this prize ended on the 28th of February 2023.

NFTs are cryptographic assets on a blockchain with unique identification codes and metadata that distinguish them from each other. An NFT is owned by the crypto address where the token is located, and data such as price, transaction history, and ownership are forever stored and accessible on the blockchain network. Often, an NFT takes the form of a piece of unique digital artwork.

NFTs have the potential to engage a new community of donors seeking social good opportunities through cryptocurrency. As examples, NFTs can allow artists, organizations, celebrities, and individuals to auction off their digital creations and collections, with all the proceeds verifiably going to a charity of their choice. In addition, NFTs are permissionless and borderless, making donations from across the world more accessible.

As part of its commitment to growing giving, Fidelity Charitable sponsors projects and experiments that encourage exploration of new ways to give and bring social good to the forefront of emerging technologies.

Art of Generosity is a groundbreaking NFT project that celebrates, inspires, and encourages individual acts of generosity. Twelve different artists interpret the meaning of generosity and its many forms for a collection that will be issued in an open-edition, free mint during the 2022 season of giving. As a part of the collection's release, 50 lucky NFT holders will win a Golden Ticket NFT, giving each the opportunity to direct $1,000 in donations to the eligible nonprofits of their choosing via a Fidelity Charitable Giving Account.

The Art of Generosity project aimed to curate a diverse community of artists to provide a vibrant, varied interpretation of generosity in many forms.

Upon the art reveal, 50 lucky NFT holders will be randomly selected to receive a special bonus Golden Ticket NFT. Each Golden Ticket NFT can be redeemed to direct $1,000 in donations to eligible nonprofits of the holder's choosing through a Fidelity Charitable Giving Account.

The 90 day Golden Ticket redemption period closed at 12pm EST on February 28th 2023.

Winners of the Golden Ticket will have the opportunity to select the nonprofit. Almost all charities registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) are eligible. This category of nonprofits includes more than 1 million organizations, ranging from small, grassroots organizations like a local homeless shelter or food pantry, to large national nonprofits. Yes, Art of Generosity NFTs can be traded on all available NFT marketplaces. There will be no royalties. A Golden Ticket NFT is also tradable, however once redeemed it will be automatically burned and therefore not tradeable beyond that point.

The minting process will be “blind”, meaning you will receive two randomized NFTs from the collection, which will be revealed to you shortly after the end of the public mint on November 29 at noon EST. While you are unable to select specific NFTs from the collection or mint additional NFTs, you may trade or acquire additional NFTs via the secondary market.

Art of Generosity NFTs are deployed on the Polygon (Matic) blockchain, which is a Layer 2 chain on the Ethereum network. Our innovative solution will allow a fully zero-cost mint: users new to the network can mint with a completely unfunded wallet.

While Metamask is the default wallet for this project, you may in fact use any Polygon wallet you wish to receive and hold an Art of Generosity NFT. To receive NFTs to a wallet other than Metamask during the mint phase, please submit your Polygon address (0x..) here and we will airdrop the NFTs to your wallet. (Please check your OpenSea hidden folder here to view your NFTs)

Yes, this is an entirely free NFT, including the costs of gas for all minters!

Many NFT projects use or are built on blockchains that use proof-of-stake as their consensus mechanism, including the Art of Generosity project, which uses Polygon. Therefore, the energy usage and environmental impact of NFTs is insignificant.

You can pre-register before November 22 to receive the airdrop, or participate in the public mint starting on November 22 at noon EST.
